In Socratic, Mr. Dye has asked us to write about a color without using the color. Below I'll be doing just that. First, two questions. Can you guess the color I'm writing about? And what color does this make you think of?
I am triumph; I am pain.
I am the heat of a passionate heart.
I am the smell of a lost loved one.
I am strength in every living thing.
I am the aftermath of ravenous conflicts.
I am fear; I am might.
I am the perseverance of the ones believe in victory.
I am the anger of the shattered soul.
I am the fear of walking alone in the night.
I am revenge.

RED!!! It is so red.
It's red. It's because of our society's connotations of red: war, blood, love, etc.
Yes, but how do you perceive that writing?
Also it's because red is a bright, bold color; victory is bold, anger is hot,
love is bright
Red stands out, it definitely doesn't slide by without notice.
And I would have guessed it to be red from you anyway, Alex.
Lizzie
Why would you have guessed it to be red from me?
I think that by my inquiry it is black because if you take red and mix it with brown. Red is blood and Brown is well, let's leave it at that. If you take the two substances it's black. Red means good, brown could mean other things but usually it's what happens when you get scared and you think that you might die.
Good job anon. I did kind of throw in a bit of my perception of black as well. To me, black and red go hand in hand. I can't see it any other way.
have you ever taken a color personality test?
